The AERTEC-DAO (DAR AL-OMRAN) JV was tasked by the Ministry of Transport (MoT)-Jordan to produce a feasibility study for the improvement of the Infrastructure, Operations and the Handling of Perishables at the Air Cargo Terminal of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.

ENPARD-Jordan (The European Neighbourhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development):

It aims at supporting countries from EU’s neighborhood in their rural and agricultural development to increase productivity, food safety and quality standards, and to enable organizational and institutional capacities. This highlighted sustainable policies, Long-term policy, integrated approach, and participatory approach.

Capacity building on Support to The Ministry Of Industry, Trade And Supply (MOITS) -Distinct Trainings For The Industrial Development Directorate Departments:

Strengthen the overall capacity of the Industrial Development Department (IDD) at the MITS in order to improve its understanding and management of its daily activities. Strengthen also the overall capacity of the relative bodies from other ministries and organizations in order to improve its understanding for the works with the MITS. Increase mangers, staff and engineers understands of Industrial / Marketing Intelligence Networking.

E.H.P.P.C. Med project (EU Funded): Horticultural Perishable Products (HPPs) circulation between Lebanon, Jordan and Italy:

The works of the project are able to improve technical and administrative procedures and operation for Horticultural Perishable Products (HPPs) circulation between Jordan, Lebanon, and EU (e.g. Italy). This is through adopting harmonized procedures and implementing an innovative communication tool. The project uses a SWOT analysis and Value Chain Analysis as methodological tools to identify information from an environmental analysis.

A study within the Improving Local Development to Increase the Resilience of Host Communities and Refugees Project:

This is to conduct a study for the assessment and development of the “Value Chain Analysis (VCA) and Market Research (MR) for the Olive and Olive Oil Sector” for sustainability and resilience approaches.

A study within the 2022 Design Thinking Challenge by the European Union:

The Innovate Jordan Design Thinking Challenge is an initiative of the partners of INNOVATE Jordan to move away from the impression that most people have, that “Innovation” is a mindset, relying on enthusiasm and a desire for creative thought, commonly expressed as “Thinking outside the box”. Tools are many and varied, but include: Lean Manufacturing / Agile Start-up / Digital Transformation / 5 Thinking Hats / Design Thinking and many more.

A study on Linking Refugees to Agricultural Value Chains in the North of Jordan: Orange, Cucumber, and Small Ruminants’ Dairy:

This is part of the Markets for the Poor (M4P) study which aims to identify potential interventions in specific agricultural value chains and to improve the livelihoods of Syrian refugees and poor Jordanian households. This report is based on a rapid market assessment involving a process of key informant interviews and focus group discussions with male and female Syrian refugees, and with Jordanian households.

A study on A Rapid Small Ruminants Value Chain and Marketing Analysis in Jordan within a project on Small Ruminants Investment and Graduating Households in Transition Project:

This project aims to reduce poverty and enhance national food security by improving the productivity of the small ruminant sector. It is also intended to assist Syrian refugees and host communities in graduating out of poverty through access to productive assets and the skills to invest in a sustainable source of livelihood that they could not afford otherwise.

A study within Sector Export Marketing Plan (SEMP) CBI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Netherlands:

To develop and write a marketing plan with a clear guidance on which target markets Jordan will focus in its product portfolio. The Jordanian fruit and vegetables sector is the target group of this project and the direct beneficiary is the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables (JEPA). This includes analysis of the agri-value chain, export objectives, market entry strategy, marketing mix, budget, and action plans.

Capacity building on Food Processing Home-based Businesses Development:

To provide support and capacity building to the home-based food processing industry, especially women and youth, in Jordan to upgrade their products and services in order to increase Home-Based Businesses (HBBs) profitable income, sustainable job, and local economic development.

Capacity building on Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Analysis (GSVC) Project:

This is a GIZ project with a support from the World Bank to have a development of a women’s empowerment. It aims to set out selected examples of good practice in terms of gender-specific approaches and instruments used within private sector development, to look at the gender impacts achieved, and to identify lessons learned.

A study within the Five-year Value Chain development programme Project:

This study was implemented with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)-Jordan on Date Palm Value Chain. This was related to agrifood systems in the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region. FAO launched in September 2021 the Global Action on “One Country One Priority Product” (OCOP) to contribute to the implementation of the FAO Strategic Framework and ultimately achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Capacity building on FAO Technical Cooperation Project “ Capacity Building for Food Loss Reduction in the Near East”:

his is a capacity building on food loss reduction in the Near East via the development of vegetable value chain in Jordan  by implementing the approach of value chain analysis and  a training program on improved value chain management for food producers, logistic providers, processors and marketers.
